My name is Beth; I have been actively eradicating lice for 8 years now! Wow, time flies!! I am a mother of 2 college students and the owner of a second business, Beth’s Flip Factory, a venture I work on in my spare time.
I opened Clean Comb Salon in North Kingstown, RI in June of 2016. Here we provide the education, removal and support to free families of head lice. My story stems from a personal family experience when my children were in elementary school. Both were infested, each had long hair and a lot of it! I called the pediatrician, the school nurse and the pharmacist many times, but all they could offer was to comb and pick out the nits with your fingernails or to use the toxic chemicals found in the pharmacy. After several hours of picking and shredded fingernails I knew I needed help so, like you, I resorted to searching online for a solution. There were many; from mayonnaise to Olive oil, shaving one’s head and blow drying your head at the highest temperature for as long as you could stand it. Finally, we found some help, comfort and education in a similar business, although far away. I dreamed of opening one closer to home, so I could serve those in the southern RI areas more readily. I am thrilled to continue to be helping families just like yours!
